biographie du groupe
Empyr, c'est la réunion de 5 artistes tous issus d'univers musicaux différents, qui ont uni leurs forces pour relever le pari d'un genre nouveau. Après des mois d'efforts intenses pour creuser sa propre voie, Empyr nous embarque dans un rock sombre, planant et métallique dont les mélodies se nimbent d'une atmosphère post-apocalyptique. Entre Deftones et Coldplay, la voix est mélodieuse et torturée, les guitares flambent en riffs déchirés sur des rythmiques tantôt nerveuses ou aériennes. Leur premier album prévu pour mars 2008 est produit par Ken Andrews (Beck, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, Chris Cornell) et a été enregistré cet été à Los Angeles dans le studio des Dust Brothers (Beastie Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Ben Harper).
